Coaching is a process in which I work with a person or a group of people to help them improve their skills, knowledge, and performance in a particular area. I typically work with a client to identify their goals and develop a plan to achieve those goals. This can involve providing guidance and support, as well as helping the client to overcome obstacles and challenges. My role is to work to support my clients where ever they are at and give them the tools to achieve.
My methodology is based on Robert Gass’ transformational consulting process, which is a system based on personal growth while working in an organization. It’s a holistic approach that looks at both how the person shows up for themselves and at work. It helps develop a powerful, enlighted and effective leadership.
I use a variety of techniques and tools, in such areas as assessments, feedback, personal ecology and personal mastery to support my clients to learn and grow. Ultimately, the goal of coaching is to help my clients achieve their desired outcomes and reach their full potential.
1:1 Coaching is helpful for my clients because it provides personalized guidance and support in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges. I can help clients identify areas for improvement, develop strategies to overcome obstacles, and hold them accountable for achieving their goals. My support helps improve their performance, increase their confidence and effectiveness, and reach their full potential. Additionally, my coaching is confidential and can provide a safe space for executives to discuss sensitive or difficult issues and receive non-judgmental feedback and support.
As I am a person of color, I also enjoy coaching for people of color. It can be incredibly beneficial for a few reasons. First, it can help folks navigate the unique challenges and barriers that we as people of color often face in the workplace. This could include unconscious bias, lack of representation, or discrimination.
Having a coach like me who understands these experiences can provide a safe space for executives of color to openly discuss and work through these issues, and come up with strategies to overcome them. Coaching for people of color can be incredibly helpful for executives because it allows them to address specific challenges and develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
